SMALL GRANTS, NEIGHBOURHOOD ANIMATION

Powered by the Main Street Area Action Plan (MSAAP)

MSAAP is a coalition of community-based organizations, non-profit, community advocates, and governmental partners working to build spaces for community where all people feel safe and connected to one another and the neighbourhood. The plan aims to enliven the Main Street area with a sense of love and hope, through access to housing, health services, recreation, cultural connections, and natural and built beauty.

MSAAP Neighbourhood Animation Committee

The Neighbourhood Animation Committee is part of the Main Street Area Action Plan. We work to bring energy, pride, and beauty into the neighborhood through events, public art, storytelling, and community celebration. Our goal is to uplift the voices and experiences of the people who live here by making space for creativity, culture, and connection.

MSAAP Small Grants – Animation Stream

This grant is available to organizations big and small or groups of community members who want to come together to animate the neighbourhood with block parties, art, entertainment, or anything that brings the community together to have fun, celebrate the neighbourhood, or otherwise engage community members.

Successful proposals will be community-led, create lively spaces, foster connection and well-being, and help represent the true story of this vibrant neighbourhood. We’re looking for projects that are engaging, aligned with the guiding principles and values of the Main Street Area Action Plan, and rooted in community identity and pride.
