On March 21, 2026, residents, neighbours, and relatives gathered at 631 Main St. for the Snowman Wellbriety Celebration.

Throughout the winter, residents of Red Road Lodge, participants of their Wellbriety and AA-12 Step Healing Recovery Programs, and members of the community worked together to build Winnipeg’s largest snowman! The snowman represented hope and pride in the community.
The celebration brought together residents of the Red Road Lodge, who are choosing to live life free of drugs and alcohol; participants at the Mobile Overdose Prevention Site, who are choosing safer consumption; neighbours both housed and unhoused; and local business owners and non-profit workers.
Everyone sat together to keep the Sacred Fire burning, and food and beverages were shared freely. The Snowman Wellbriety Celebration was a space for unity, where a message of recovery was shared in the spirit of rebuilding lives and community together.
The Snowman Wellbriety Celebration was funded through the MSAAP Neighbourhood Animation Small Grants Program. To find out more about MSAAP Small Grants, visit our Opportunities page!
